Cape Cod Bay Fishing Report - Mid June 2015

Good weather the last few days have opened up Cape Cod Bay, with water temperature climbing into the mid-fifties. Mackerel are still hanging around ans plenty of striped bass.

Sharks on Cape Cod - What you need to know

Bourne Bridge - Bridge Work Alert

bridgealertOn Monday June 15th, travel lanes on the Bourne Bridge will be reduced between the hours of 8:30am – 3:00pm. One northbound travel lane will be closed for maintenance repairs.

Cape Cod Bay Fishing Report - Early June 2015

The water temperature continues to hover around 52 degrees - creating challenging fishing conditions along with winds blowing 20-30 mph.  The breakdown: 
  
Striped Bass - fishing for keepers is more difficult than usual.  There are numerous fish under 28 inches boding well for the future, but even the charter boats are having difficulty getting their full limit of legal fish.

The hot spot has been Barnstable Harbor, with fish 40 inches and up taking

Restaurant Review - The Glass Onion

What a spectacular dining experience! The atmosphere is comfortable elegance, and the food is creative and beautifully presented. The waitstaff is friendly and helpful, particularly when answering inquiries about a menu item or a wine selection. Although the Glass Onion does not take reservations, even a long wait is pleasant in the adjacent porch or bar area, while being served from the extensive selection of wines and cocktails. On our last visit, we shared two entrees: a scallop salad with cucumber "noodles" on a bed of quinoa served in lettuce cups and a pork dish served with both grilled and juliennes apples. Both were delicious!

Sagamore Bridge - Bridge Work Alert

bridgealertTravel lane restrictions on the Sagamore Bridge will resume on April 13th to complete the painting project. Travel lanes may be reduced between the hours of 8am – 4pm, Monday through Saturday. Lane restrictions for work on Sundays may also be necessary depending on weather conditions. One lane in each direction will be open at all times. All lanes will be open each night. Lane restrictions may extend through May, 2015.
